Bodega Catena Zapata is a family-owned winery located in Mendoza, Argentina and founded in 1902. The epic tale of the noble Malbec grape is like no other, and the label for this Catena Zapata Malbec Argentino pays tribute to the variety’s history in France and its rise in Argentina. Four Female figures embody different landmarks in the history of the grape. This wine is made up of 20% whole cluster and 80% whole berry fruit and is hand-loaded into new French oak barrels for 100% fermentation. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 10 and 15 months. Argentine ponchos are handcrafted with all natural products and dyes. The Argentine poncho is made according to techniques passed down through generations. These Andean ponchos take between 1 to 4 months to weave due to the complexity of the loom work. They come from the north of Argentina. Pampa poncho designs were used by Argentine gauchos (the Argentine equivalent of cowboys). Mate is a traditional South American caffeine-rich infused herbal drink and the national beverage of Argentina. The metal straw is known as a bombilla or bomba and is traditionally made of silver.
